My Vision

I didn’t start this business just to build better processes. I started it because I kept meeting brilliant small business owners who were exhausted by the constant juggle. They had the drive and the vision but felt stuck, always putting out fires and never quite feeling in control. I knew there was a better way to run a business, and I knew I could help.

The idea took shape while I was consulting within large organisations. I saw how often people were caught in a constant cycle of pressure, politics, and reactive decision-making. Even in high-performing environments, there was rarely space to pause, reflect, or work smarter. After a serious injury forced me to step back, I found myself working in more community-focused spaces — schools, cafés, restaurants, hair salons. It was a completely different world. What I saw was passion, heart, and potential everywhere — but also a lack of support, structure, and time. That experience changed everything. I realised I could take everything I had learned and use it to help small business owners build businesses that feel good to run. That’s what led me to start LD Business Consulting.

Over the years, I’ve noticed a pattern. Most small business owners don’t struggle because they lack vision or drive. They struggle because they’re stuck wearing every hat, juggling the day-to-day with no time to step back and look at the bigger picture. Decisions pile up, priorities blur, and the spark that started it all starts to dim. There’s often no one to bounce ideas off, no roadmap to follow, and no systems built around how they actually work best.

What they need isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. They need a fresh perspective. Someone who understands the messy middle — and knows how to bring clarity, confidence, and structure without stripping away what makes the business unique.
